AIDA

TEG Live has made the difficult decision to cancel AIDA in Adelaide, which was scheduled to take place at Adelaide Oval on 26 and 27 February 2027. Unfortunately, the ongoing conflict and instability in the Middle East has resulted in massive increases in international freight and airfares. This created insurmountable financial and logistical challenges for the production, which requires over 400 performers and technical staff to travel from Italy to Adelaide along with the international shipping of 28 containers of props, sets and costumes. Despite extensive efforts to find solutions, it became clear that AIDA cannot be delivered in Adelaide at the scale and standard this remarkable production deserves. This is deeply disappointing for everyone involved, particularly the many ticketholders who embraced the opportunity to experience one of the world’s most celebrated opera productions in Adelaide.
